Our litters are carefully planned and bred with the health, temperament, vitality and longevity of the puppies in mind.  All parents are fully health tested before we breed, whether the dog or bitch resides in New Zealand, or we use imported frozen semen via AI.

In order to maintain diversity, we have spent a large amount of money importing semen from stunning males who live in Sweden, UK, USA and Australia.   Additionally, we have imported a beautiful male from America.  Thus, our girls' pairings are selected from a range of lovely diverse, healthy bloodlines and sound temperaments.

Puppies are very well socialized and raised inside my home among the hustle and bustle of a busy household. They leave for their new homes with a puppy pack, a copy of the pedigree papers along with the immunization booklet, a puppy information sheet and life-time breeder support.

• Puppies parents have been health tested to clear them of common genetic diseases in the breed.

• Puppies are veterinary health checked and certified at 8 weeks of age.

• They are wormed, have their 1st vaccination, microchipped, registered with DogsNZ.

• Our puppies come with 6 weeks free pet insurance.

• Puppies are independently temperament assessed and matched to their homes to ensure the best possible outcome/partnership for families and individuals.

 

Please, when making enquiries about our fur babies, tell me about yourself and the kind of home you would offer a puppy, why you like this breed, what research you have done to ensure this type of dog would suit you, and what your plans are for your puppy in the future (eg, showing, obedience, family pet, breeding, etc).

 

We sometimes have older dogs or bitches who have retired and are available to forever loving homes.  All our dogs are fully house trained, have basic obedience, are well travelled, socialized and well loved.  If a puppy isn't for you, we may a precious retiree looking for that special home.

If at any stage your circumstances change, and you can no longer keep your dog or puppy we have a no-questions-asked re-homing policy so we can bring our Vallhunds home.
